Dear Friends,
Welcome to our new blog! This has been a wonderful, yet heart-breaking year. Wonderful in that our community has once again supported Catie's foundation in such a generous way. Heart-breaking in that far too many children have lost their lives to cancer and so many more are still battling this disease.

We have had a very successful year so far, with great turnouts at the Catiebug 5k and the Catiebug Gala. I love seeing people having a good time and coming together to support a cause that is very important to me.

Our Outback Luncheon is next week and I am working on our Holiday Giving Tree. This year we will be helping eleven families with their holiday gifts, and we will be providing Visa gift cards to many more.

Whenever we learn of another child being diagnosed, we try to reach out - even if it is just with food and gas cards. Sometimes these families just need to know that they are not alone in this fight.

I want to thank you for your support. Our foundation truly is making a difference - I see it in the thank you notes and I hear it from the social workers. Please know that because of you, we are able to help these children and their families, bringing a little relief to their budgets and smiles to their faces.

I hope that you will join us on Wednesday. The Outback does a fabulous job. They donate everything!!! So every dollar at the event supports the foundation. Thank you for keeping Catie's spirit alive. It means the world to me.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that your Thanksgiving was wonderful. We had a great time with friends and family.

Today I went shopping for the twelve families that the foundation "adopted". I felt like Santa Claus and I know that these children will love their gifts.

With your support, we bought lots of gifts and provided Visa cards and Price Chopper and Hannaford cards. We want to make sure that there is enough for a great holiday meal.

With each passing year, I am touched and gratified by your generosity and support. In this time of economic uncertainty, for us to be able to provide for twelve families says something about you. Thank you.

Take care,

Gina
